Warning – fraudulent phone calls

If you received a call from someone claiming to be from the IRB and asking you for money, or payment of any kind, it's a scam. The IRB will never ask you for money. Please report the call to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501. If you are a victim of this scam, please call your local police.

The IRB’s media relations team will answer questions from members of the media only, and cannot respond to other enquiries.

Please note, calls are addressed during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
