Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada Launches Improved Website

July 31, 2013 - On July 31, 2013 the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) launched an improved website. This initiative is part of the implementation of the Government of Canada's new web standards, designed to make websites more user-friendly and accessible. These improvements will increase the effectiveness and efficiency of websites as part of the government’s efforts to modernize its web presence to better serve Canadians.

Key improvements to the IRB website include an updated look, a more intuitive navigation style with key business streams found along the top bar, as well as the addition of News Feeds so that you can be notified when recent news or notices are posted. Building on these improvements, redundant and outdated content was also removed, ensuring that all online information is relevant, accurate and timely. For users who often access country of origin content, please be aware that the web addresses have changed for National Documentation Packages (NDP) and Responses to Information Requests (RIR) and you will need to reset your browser favorites accordingly as well as update links to the IRB website which reside on your website.
