Policy on Disclosing Information Regarding the Conduct of Authorized Representatives to Regulatory Bodies

The IRB has developed this new policy as a means to set out a predictable and transparent approach for IRB personnel to follow when disclosing information about the conduct of authorized representatives to their regulatory body.

The Board has an obligation to ensure the integrity of its processes by promoting high standards of conduct among all those participating in its proceedings. As such, professional, civil and ethical conduct is expected of all persons appearing before the IRB. The integrity of proceedings may be undermined when an authorized representative engages in conduct that constitutes a possible breach of their professional or ethical obligations.

The Policy comes into effect on October 16, 2015, and replaces any previous processes in place for disclosing information relating to the conduct of authorized representatives to their regulatory body.
