The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) has issued a policy entitled Security Screening Measures Policy at Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada Controlled Premises and associated procedures entitled Security Screening Procedures at Immigration Refugee Board of Canada Controlled Premises.
The policy serves to provide a framework for security screening measures at the IRB. These measures are provided for and are consistent in accordance with the Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada's Policy on Government Security, the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), and the Canada Labour Code (CLC), Part II.
The procedures outline the manner by which the IRB will conduct security screening of persons entering IRB controlled premises.
